Oil transportation: Used in gas stations, oil depots, factories to transport diesel, gasoline, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, etc.

Chemical industry: Transport viscous fluids such as resins, paints, oils, syrups, chemical raw materials, etc. (suitable pump body materials and sealing forms need to be selected according to the characteristics of the medium).

Food and beverage industry: transporting edible oil, honey, chocolate, dairy products, syrup, etc. This type of application requires the use of food grade stainless steel gear pumps and sealing materials that meet hygiene standards.

4. Lubrication system

This is the 'primary job' of a gear pump. The forced lubrication system widely used in various mechanical equipment delivers lubricating oil to parts that require lubrication, such as bearings and gearboxes. For example,

5. Household and commercial equipment

Household appliances: Drainage pumps for some high-end dishwashers and washing machines.

Commercial equipment: liquid transfer pumps in coffee machines and beverage machines.

According to the characteristics of electric gear pumps, they are particularly suitable for the following situations:

1. Cost sensitive applications: Small and medium-sized equipment, auxiliary systems, or auxiliary pumps in large systems (such as pilot pumps and oil replenishment pumps) that require hydraulic power but have limited budgets.

Reason: Gear pumps are one of the lowest manufacturing costs among various hydraulic pumps.

2. Space limited applications: engine compartment (oil pump), compact mechanical equipment interior, mobile devices. Reason: The gear pump has a compact structure, small volume, and high power density.

3. Applications that require high reliability and easy maintenance

Occasion: Engineering machinery for field operations, agricultural machinery, and industrial assembly lines for continuous production.

Reason: The gear pump has a simple structure, few parts, low failure rate, and mature maintenance technology, making it easy to replace.

4. Application of transporting fluids with high viscosity or low cleanliness

Occasion: Transporting lubricating oil, grease, asphalt, heavy oil, sewage (requiring special design), etc.

Reason: Gear pumps do not have as strict requirements for the cleanliness of the medium as piston pumps, and the efficiency decrease is not significant when transporting high viscosity fluids.

5. Quantitative system applications with fixed flow requirements: simple lifting, clamping, pushing devices, as well as lubrication and oil delivery systems. Reason: Gear pumps are quantitative pumps with a fixed displacement per revolution, making them very suitable for situations where constant flow is required. To adjust the flow rate, it is usually necessary to install a throttle valve or change the motor speed (variable frequency drive).

3、 Limitations (not applicable or requiring careful selection)

Understanding its limitations and performance can better determine its application boundaries: In high-pressure situations, gear pumps experience significantly increased leakage, decreased efficiency, and shortened lifespan under high pressure (usually>250 Bar). The high-pressure field is the advantage range of plunger pumps. Applications sensitive to flow pulsation and noise: The flow output of gear pumps has pulsation and relatively high noise (especially at high pressure). In environments with strict noise requirements, such as indoor machinery and precision machine tools, internal gear pumps or screw pumps may be more preferred. Applications that require high volumetric efficiency: Gear pumps have multiple internal leakage paths, and their volumetric efficiency is usually lower than that of plunger pumps and vane pumps. Not the best choice in systems that require extremely high energy efficiency. Transporting fluids containing hard particle impurities: Although insensitive to pollution, hard particles can still exacerbate gear and bearing wear, requiring the installation of filters. When transporting heavily polluted media, screw pumps may be more suitable. Electric gear pumps are the "universal labor model" in the industrial field, with a wide range of applications, from car engines to factory machine tools, from oil guns in gas stations to production lines in food factories, everywhere. It has unparalleled advantages in fluid transportation and hydraulic power applications with medium and low pressure, low power, and low requirements for cost and control accuracy. But when choosing, it is also necessary to determine whether it is the best solution based on specific pressure, flow rate, medium, noise, and efficiency requirements.
